Of course the first reason for spending the kind of money a machine like this costs is because you expect it to make great coffee, and it does. It's noticeably better than the typical drip maker we had before. My only real complaints have to do with the carafe. I feel it is poorly designed. There is no spout or notch, so the coffee has a tendency to go all over the place. And the stopper is only tight when it's all the way in...open it just slightly and it's very loose. It just seems like poor attention to detail for such an expensive coffee maker. All that said, I would definitely recommend it for coffee snobs!
